Snapshot No. 665-669
669. March Nr. 2

In March, insects come to appear in concert with flowers.
This is a
oo-suzume-bati which has just awaked from its hibernation. At an entrance of a nearby square.
As the
oo-suzume-bati which can survive the winter is only queen bee, this one is the queen. That is why this is so large.
In our country, the number of human death by natural creatures is by far the most by bees, about a little less than 20 cases per year in average. While that by bears is about 2. Those by others such as snakes and sharks are far less.
Though it is necessary to take a special care in dealing with the
suzume-bati, it is unnecessary to be unduly scared.

The right is a shot of the bee with a 10-yen-coin placed in front to show how large it is.

The photo is Venus and the moon with earthshine.
The star a bit apart above is Jupiter.
666. A gymnasium

A nearby gymnasium.
This was originally a marshal art practice hall of a high school and relocated to this place.
665.@A surge tank Nr.2

Another surge tank situated at a nearby place.
A part of water supply system to JFE Steel, Tiba.
40 m high. The design has no particular feature.
As the surge tanks are usually associated with hydropower generation and installed deep in the mountains, the sightings at urban area like this must be rare.
